Laboratory Research Assistant – Student Position
We are looking for a highly motivated student to join an innovative R&D project developing a groundbreaking Solar Paint technology. This is a paid position.
Job Description:
- Assist with a variety of laboratory tasks, including the synthesis of semiconductor nanocrystals and solar cells.
- Support ongoing research and development activities, including materials characterization, such as X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- Perform experiments and prepare samples.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory procedures.
- Gain hands-on cleanroom experience in thin-film deposition, including Au e-beam evaporation and RF sputtering of ZnO and ITO using a Kurt J. Lesker PVD 75 system. No prior cleanroom experience is required, but an interest in learning vacuum deposition techniques is expected.
Requirements:

- Eager to learn and develop new laboratory skills.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.
- Willing to perform routine laboratory tasks when required.
- Full time position during the rest of the summer and a minimum of 10 hours per week commitment during the school year.
