The University of Texas at Austin is home to breakthrough research and innovation that is shaping the energy sector. The Energy Institute’s Energy Journalism Fellowship offers support to working journalists with a track record in energy, climate and environmental reporting to pursue projects that illustrate the university’s role in the Texas energy story and beyond. Fellows work across a range of media, from print to podcasts, and are able to get out of the daily grind of the newsroom to focus on deeper reporting on often under-explored stories, which are shared with major media outlets for publication. Through independent enterprise reporting, the fellowship provides a professional development opportunity to expand the scope of their work while strengthening public energy literacy through mainstream media.
