The Energy Ventures Practicum is an opportunity for teams of business students, law students, policy students, and technologists to build up skills, capabilities and contacts to create a new venture in the energy sector. Objectives of the class are to provide a framework for commercializing innovations in the energy sector, and the tools that entrepreneurs need to frame and build businesses for this purpose.
This class is open to graduate students from Business, Law, Policy, Engineering, and EER programs.

Gates. We provide critical support to scientists,
innovators, and entrepreneurs with early-stage breakthrough climate technologies - tech with substantial technical risk still to overcome. The Innovator program offers funding, active technology management, access to BE’s world-class network of partners and experts, and top-of-the-line entrepreneurship curriculum. These tools ensure early-stage startups have the resources they need to advance toward commercialization.

West Gate at NREL is now accepting applications for its 5th Cohort. The program is seeking talented scientists, engineers, inventors, and founding entrepreneurs with promising technologies to commercialize and who are interested in embedding at NREL. The 2-year program will support selected innovators with non-dilutive funding, resources, and entrepreneurial mentorship over a two-year runway.
