The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) is now accepting applications for the Linda Latham Scholarship, supporting students interested in attending the 2026 Summer Study on Energy Efficiency in Buildings, August 2–7, 2026.
The 2026 Summer Study will bring together professionals from around the globe at the Asilomar Conference Grounds to share research, spark new ideas and collaborations, and advance technologies and practices that transform the building sector by improving efficiency, affordability, and resiliency.
Eligibility
Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university studying energy, environmental science, or a related field, and considering a career in energy or energy efficiency.
Application deadline: March 13, 2026
Scholarship Levels
- Level I: Registration, lodging, and travel stipend
- Level II: Registration and lodging
- Level III: Registration only
An ACEEE committee will review applications and notify recipients in April 2026.

About the Scholarship
The scholarship honors Linda Latham, former chief operating officer of ACEEE and cofounder of the U.S. government’s ENERGY STAR® program. She believed students bring talent and creativity to the field of energy efficiency, especially when provided opportunities to learn, connect, and contribute.
