Lotfi has served as the President and CEO of TotalEnergies E&P Research & Technology USA since 2022 where he leads innovation and energy transition initiatives in North America.
Prior to this role, Lotfi led the R&D team in Lyon, France where he played a key role in driving the digitalization of research activities and supporting the Company’s transition to new energy solutions, including EV charging.
Lotfi began his career with TotalEnergies in 1997 as a Research Scientist in Philadelphia, U.S., specializing in polymer applications across diverse sectors such as automotive, batteries, fuel cells, as well as paints and coatings.
In 2009, he transitioned to the Marketing & Services division in Paris as Market Manager, overseeing affiliate activities in strategic global markets, including Brazil, China, Russia, and the Czech Republic.
Lotfi holds a PhD in polymer in chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
