Manager, Technology Ecosystems in the Innovation function of Chevron’s Technical Center
Edward (Ted) Mickelson is currently the manager for Technology Ecosystems in the Innovation function of Chevron’s Technical Center, located in Houston, Texas. In this capacity, he oversees the integration of internal and external technology ecosystems in order to optimally leverage technology and technical capabilities for use in Chevron’s current and future operations. Additionally, he and his team are responsible for tracking technology trends in a strategically aligned manner. Prior to joining Chevron in 2006, Ted worked in various research and technology transfer roles in the industrial, government, and academic sectors. Ted holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX) and a doctorate in chemistry from Rice University (Houston, TX). In his spare time, Ted enjoys trail running, hiking, and camping, and he has an unusual affinity for fountain pens.
