Visiting Researcher and Energy Fellow
Coleman White holds a degree in Finance ('23) and a Master's in Technology Commercialization ('24) from UT Austin. Since graduating, he has been working to commercialize Direct Air Capture and geologic carbon storage technologies, and has been deeply involved in researching, developing, and building at the frontier of carbon removal infrastructure.
Coleman co-founded Verified Carbon with Dr. Timothy "Tip" Meckel, a leading authority in geologic carbon sequestration from the Bureau of Economic Geology and Gulf Coast Carbon Center. Together, they have advanced research into storage integrity and developed proprietary tools for evaluating subsurface CO₂ performance. This work has resulted in multiple formal intellectual property filings with UT Austin through the Discovery to Impact program.
He currently serves as Chief Business Development Officer at Return Carbon, a global DAC developer and investor, where he works to bring large-scale carbon removal and storage projects to life internationally.
