UT Energy Symposium kicks off fall semester

The UT Energy Symposium commenced its fall semester of guest lectures on Thursday, Sept. 6 with a presentation from LBJ School of Public Affairs Research Prof. Raj Patel, How Energy Fits into the History of the World in Seven Cheap Things. The talk was based on his latest book, co-authored with Jason W. Moore: A History of the World in Seven Cheap Things: A Guide to Capitalism, Nature and the Future of the PlanetThe UT Energy Symposium lecture series, now in its seventh year, is sponsored by the Energy Institute to provide a forum for experts from industry, government, academia and the non-profit world to offer their perspectives on a broad range of topics relating to energy technology, policy, regulatory and market issues.  Learn more about the UTES and see a full schedule of speakers and presentations.
