UT Energy Symposium kicks off fall semester

Energy experts from across the UT campus and the Central Texas community kicked off the fall semester of the UT Energy Symposium (UTES) with a series of informative guest lectures. Speakers included famed UT Engineering Prof. John Goodenough, who discussed his latest research into alternatives to lithium-ion batteries; School of Law Prof. David Adelman; whose lecture focused on climate change policy; and energy consultant Gene Preston, who discussed integration of renewable energy into Texas' electric grid. Throughout the semester, experts from industry, government, academia and the non-profit world will continue to offer their perspectives on emerging technologies, regulatory policy, and energy markets.
