Eliván Martínez Mercado, an investigative journalist based in Puerto Rico and a 2019 UT Energy Journalism Fellow, is working on a new book investigating the devastating effect of Hurricanes Irma and María on Puerto Rico’s electric grid. He recently published an article in the Center for Investigative Journalism exploring the pros and cons of public vs. private electric grids. Read more.
