Energy Institute Deputy Director Michael Webber has been named a Presidential Leadership Scholar, awarded to a diverse group of leaders based on their leadership growth potential and the strength of their personal leadership projects. The honor singles out leaders whose work is aimed at improving the civic or social good by addressing a problem or need in a community, profession, or organization. Over the next several months, Webber, a professor in UT Austin’s Mechanical Engineering Department, will travel to participating presidential centers to learn from former presidents, key former administration officials, and leading academics.
