UT Austin’s Jackson School of Geosciences is the No. 1 Geology program in the country, according to new rankings issued by U.S. News & World Report.  The Jackson School was also No. 7 in Earth Sciences and No. 7 in Geophysics and Seismology in the rankings. The magazine’s rankings, based on surveys of academic leaders, are among the most widely regarded ratings in higher education. The Jackson School consists of three renowned academic and research units – the Department of Geological Sciences, the Institute for Geophysics and the Bureau of Economic Geology. Read more.
