We are seeking up to two Lab Technician Interns to support a broad range of laboratory, development, and scale-up activities. This is intentionally a generalist role: interns will be exposed to multiple aspects of battery and materials development and will be molded over time based on aptitude, curiosity, and company needs. This internship is viewed as a pipeline to full-time employment for exceptional performers

Graduate Portfolio Program in Energy Studies (GPPES)

This interdisciplinary portfolio program, administered by the Energy Institute, complements students' degree programs by providing a solid foundation in energy policy and a credential that demonstrates proficiency in the energy field to future employers or others. Students gain an understanding of energy systems, technology, and environmental challenges by taking courses offered across eight schools and colleges at the university and completing a research project.

With the help of the Longhorn Energy Club and TEX-E fellows, the Energy Institute went searching for all of UT's student-led clubs and organizations that are focused on energy and energy-related topics such as environment, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship

The Energy Institute created the Energy Ventures Practicum in partnership with Texas Venture Labs to help grow the UT energy startup ecosystem and coordinates UT's participation in the Texas Exchange for Energy and Climate Entrepreneurship (TEX-E), which aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry to strengthen energy security and advance decarbonization.
