Join us at UT Energy Week 2025! Now in its 11^th year, Energy Week is UT’s flagship annual conference. Hosted by the Energy Institute and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center, Energy Week unites stakeholders to explore the future of energy through innovative ideas, collaborative solutions, and insightful discussions.

Tuesday Entrepreneurship Mentorship Mixer, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

A relaxed, free-flowing event open to all students from any university. Mingle with peers and engage with experienced mentors in the energy entrepreneurship space, including startup founders, CEO’s and investors.

Wednesday Career Mixer Lunch, 11:45 a.m.–1:15 p.m.

Engage with representatives from multiple companies including Affinity Engineering, Arcadia eFuels, Austin Energy, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Freedom Solar, Grid Beyond, Phillips66, Pike Robotics, Railroad Commission of Texas, RWE, Shell, Sunnova, SunPR, and more. Thursday Interdisciplinary Case Competition, 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

This year’s challenge focuses on Energy Resilience in Texas, requiring teams to develop actionable strategies that balance technology, policy and market considerations. UT Austin graduate students from all disciplines can participate.

Thursday Energy & Environment Mentorship Luncheon, 11:15 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

Students will dine with a small group of peers and a mentor of their choice who is a professional in fields related to energy and the environment. Pick your mentor before their table fills up at this limited seating event.

Event Highlights:

Monday, March 31: Launch the week with the Texas Nuclear Symposium and the Energy Research Poster Competition.
Tuesday, April 1: Innovation & Entrepreneurship Day features startup showcases, founder and investor spotlights and panels, and the Entrepreneurship Mentorship Mixer Lunch for students.
Wednesday, April 2: Engage with insightful panels covering grid resilience, carbon capture & storage, decarbonizing transportation, geothermal, and maximizing energy storage with AI. Enjoy lunch, join the campus energy tour, and stay for the evening reception.
Thursday, April 3: Dive into more panels on key energy topics: energy transition, produced water, student perspectives on energy’s future, and a panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy Law.
Friday, April 4: The Kay Bailey Hutchison Energy Center’s Spring Summit: "Energy Everywhere: Building Infrastructure to Power Progress".
