More About David Spence
Professor Spence holds the Rex G. Baker Centennial Chair in Natural Resources Law at the University of Texas School of Law and teaches Business, Government & Society at the McCombs School of Business. An esteemed scholar in energy policy, he is the co-author of the leading casebook, Energy, Economics and the Environment (Foundation Press), and has contributed numerous articles on energy regulation and policy.
With a PhD in Political Science from Duke University and a JD from the University of North Carolina, Professor Spence conduct research exploring the complex interplay between law, politics, and energy regulation, addressing both fossil fuel and clean energy sectors.
In this event, he will discuss his book, Climate of Contempt, which offers insights on bridging political divides to effectively tackle climate change. Additionally, he will analyze the results of the upcoming election and implications for energy policy, providing timely perspectives on the future of energy regulation in a changing political landscape.
