Yassine is the CEO of Bidra, the Corporate Venture Capital arm of the OCP Group, one of the world’s largest plant nutrition solution producers, and its affiliated university, UM6P. In this position, Yassine leads the deployment of 250 M USD in early-stage investments in verticals that mirror the OCP Group’s innovation focus: energy, water, sustainable chemistry, mining, and agricultural technologies.

In 2022, OCP launched a 13 bn USD capital expenditure program that will see it, among other things, build 3 million tons of green ammonia production capacity, develop 13 GW of renewable energy capacity, add 450 M M3 of desalination, and produce 30,000 tons of intermediate products for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. This strategy will enable the Group to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

Prior to Bidra, Yassine held various leadership positions within the OCP Group in Corporate Strategy and Business Development, and worked on the development and financing of utilities projects at the World Bank and the European Investment Bank.

Yassine holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, and a Master in Strategic Management from HEC Paris. He is married to a proud UT Austin Alum and has two children.
