Product and Technology Manager, Energy Storage, SLB
Chad Houston is the Product and Technology Manager for Energy Storage at SLB, a role he assumed in May 2022. In this position he is leveraging SLB’s global technology capabilities to develop and deploy innovative electrochemical and thermal energy storage solutions that address sustainability challenges for utility and commercial and industrial companies. Prior to his current role he led the Schlumberger Software Technology Innovation Center in Silicon Valley, to identify and evaluate digital technologies and partnerships to scale across the company. In a career spanning 30 years Chad has held many technology leadership positions developing, delivering, and supporting software solutions for energy applications including drilling, seismic data acquisition and processing, and reservoir characterization. With assignments in six countries, he has built and grown diverse collaborative organizations. He joined Schlumberger in 1994 as a software engineer in Austin, Texas. Chad holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Texas at Austin.
