Helen Currie

Chief Economist, ConocoPhillips


ConocoPhillips'​ Chief Economist Helen Currie oversees long range plan development, strategic initiatives and scenarios, and advises on investment analyses and public policy matters. With over 25 years of experience in business, government and academia, Currie brings valuable perspectives to corporate strategy, planning and portfolio risk management.  Prior leadership roles in the energy industry include Commercial risk management, upstream and downstream business analysis, commodity markets analysis, and BD/M&A strategies.  Before joining the energy industry, Currie held roles in academia as a finance professor and in government as an economic analst for the State of Washington’s Department Ecology.  Dr. Currie is a frequent speaker at industry venues and guest lecturer for training programs and universities. She has published research in finance and management journals and has co-authored oil and gas industry research papers.
