Asher is the author of Year of the Dunk, a memoir about basketball, cancer and the frontiers of human potential, and co-author of The Great Texas Wind Rush, the backstory about how the oil-and-gas state became the country's top producer of wind power. His biography of Earl Campbell will be published in the fall of 2019.
Asher studied English at Yale and has graduate degrees in public policy and journalism.
