
Anna Bell F. Gall
Strategy & External Affairs Director
As strategy and external affairs director for the Energy Institute, Anna Bell helps manage the Institute’s major partnerships, communications, outreach, and policy development in support of energy research across all entities at the University.
Anna Bell joined the Energy Institute in 2019 from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, where she served as senior advisor to Dean Angela Evans. At the LBJ School, she helped develop long-term institutional strategy and external partnerships.
Previously, Anna Bell worked at SKDKnickerbocker in Washington, DC, as a vice president and then senior vice president, providing strategic counsel, advocacy management and policy implementation. At SKDK, her portfolio included work with leading financial, energy, and transportation groups, and companies such as the New York Stock Exchange, Duke Energy, AT&T, GE, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Anna Bell began her career in Washington as a staffer for House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md). She holds a master in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor of arts in government with honors from UT Austin, where she was an Archer Fellow and a Normandy Scholar.
