Mr. Ullah is founder of Energy Eagles, an Advisory and Oil & Gas Investment firm in Houston, Texas. Prior to that, Mr. Ullah has over 32 years of experience in the international energy sector, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, exploration and production and also the service sector. Mr. Ullah has held senior management positions with many multinational companies in the U.S. and Europe.
With a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the UT Austin, Mr. Ullah also completed Executive Development training at Oxford University and London Business School.
Mr. Ullah has been an active member of the UT Engineering Advisory Board since 2005. He was also the recipient of both the 2012 Distinguished Engineering Graduate Award and the 1999 Outstanding Young Engineering Graduate Award from UT Austin. He was honored to be the 2013 Commencement Speaker for UT’s Cockrell School of Engineering. Mr. Ullah was recently honored as the 2014 recipient of the President George H.W. Bush Award from the Asian-Pacific American Heritage Foundation.
Mr. Ullah’s passion for philanthropy and education is evident throughout his career and includes the establishment of The Shahid and Sharon Ullah Chair in Petroleum Engineering, Excellence Fund in International Engineering Education and the Moni Pulo/Baker Hughes Endowed Scholarship in Engineering. Other organizations that have benefited from his support include UT’s College of Liberal Arts, Dept. of Theatre and Dance, Dept. of Human Ecology, Longhorn Foundation, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Boy Scouts of America, Teach for America, and company sponsorship of Projects for Underserved Communities in Ghana.
