Abstract: The Texas Legislators passed Senate Bill 3 in an attempt to address many of the shortcomings, and many stakeholders have commented on what should be done to make Texas’ natural gas and electricity systems more reliable and resilient to extreme weather, such as Winter Storm Uri. Join a discussion with a panel of University of Texas at Austin energy experts spanning domains of electrical and systems engineering, business and finance, and economics. They will explore some of the recommendations and proposed solutions to prevent blackouts, ensure a more reliable natural gas system, and avoid unnecessary financial burdens during future emergencies.
